The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions into the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it is alarmed in regards to the high quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The provider position designed for intervention encounters a higher inflow of opportunity status sassa beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for your Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to permit the servicing of all buyers and enhance entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
